If you’re looking for a quiet and stylish place to stay on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, Boutique Hotel Bora & Villas Garamm in Pakoštane is worth considering. My recent stay here was filled with comfort, friendly service, and small details that made our family trip special.
From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt welcoming. The entrance is modern yet relaxed, with a touch of coastal charm. Check-in was quick, and the staff immediately made us feel at home. They explained everything clearly, from pool hours to breakfast times, and even offered local tips for activities nearby.
The entrance gives a clean and fresh first look. Check-in was quick, and the staff made us feel at home right away. They gave us tips for things to do in the area, explained the facilities, and even asked about our needs before we had to say anything.
The overall atmosphere is calm. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to relax by the pool, enjoy quiet mornings, or take short walks into town for coffee or groceries.
Our suite was spacious and included a bedroom, a living area, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette was especially helpful since we were traveling with kids - we could easily warm up food or prepare snacks.
The room was clean, bright, and had plenty of storage. The bed was comfortable, and the linens felt fresh. We also had a small pool shared with just two other suites, so it often felt private.
When we asked to swap the bar soap for liquid soap, the staff handled it within minutes. That quick attention to detail made our stay even more comfortable.
The hotel has two public pools plus the smaller pools connected to certain suites. The pools are surrounded by greenery and offer a peaceful place to swim or relax.
There’s also a gym. It’s small but clean, with basic equipment like treadmills, bikes, and free weights. It’s enough for a light workout before breakfast.
Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. The buffet had fresh fruit, cheeses, charcuterie, breads, jams, marmalades, and omelette and eggs. It was the kind of breakfast that makes you want to sit a little longer and enjoy the start of the day.
The hotel’s restaurant is also open for dinner. I had a fresh salad one evening that was crisp and full of flavor. The menu had a good mix of local and international dishes, with fresh ingredients.
The only thing to note is that the restaurant is not open for lunch. For midday meals, we either used our kitchenette or went to nearby cafés and restaurants. With a grocery shop, local market, and café bar close to the hotel, finding food was never a problem.
The staff here truly made our trip. They were friendly, thoughtful, and always ready to help. They remembered our names, asked about our plans, and made sure we had everything we needed.
One day, we wanted to take the kids to Dalmaland, a family park nearby. When we discussed it with the staff, the offered to drive us there and pick us up - free of charge. That extra effort meant a lot and made our day much easier.
Pakoštane is a charming coastal town between Zadar and Šibenik. The hotel is close to the sea but far enough from the busiest streets to stay peaceful.
From here, you can explore the Kornati National Park by boat, visit Zadar’s old town and sea organ, or drive to Krka National Park to see waterfalls. The location makes it easy to enjoy both nature and culture.
Traveling with kids can be tricky, but this hotel made it easier. The kitchenette was perfect for quick snacks. The small pool shared with only a couple of other suites gave the kids plenty of space to play. And the staff’s help with transport to local attractions was a big plus.
The hotel has a refined style but still feels relaxed enough for children. We never felt out of place.

It’s a great choice for couples, families, or anyone looking for a calm getaway with easy access to Croatia’s natural beauty and small-town charm.
If we visit the Dalmatian coast again, this will be at the top of our list.
